our history:
The Home Mutual Insurance Company was formed by a group of citizens in 1876 in the city of Tell City, Indiana. Since that time we have grown and currently employ 10 people and have 2 offices located in south-western Indiana.

We are a Mutual Company licensed to do business in the state of Indiana with a wholly owned Insurance Agency that provides all lines of insurance coverage including Commercial, Home, Auto, Farm, Life, Health, Annuities and Bonds in both Indiana and Kentucky.
We have an In House Claims Department which allows us to pay many of your claims right from our office.
The Right Products for Your Individual or Your Business Needs are available for you at Home Mutual Insurance Co & Agency and German Mutual Insurance Agency. We represent many different insurance companies through our Independent Agency which allows us to find the right coverage for all of our client’s unique needs.
We are eager to serve you. Our Agents will sit down with you, discuss your operation and make an independent survey of your insurance needs and evaluate your current insurance programs.
